Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m an adventure-loving soul with a passion for exploring the world in unique ways. I’m particularly fond of long-distance bicycle trips, spending time outdoors, and embracing nature through activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, and sailing. When I’m not chasing horizons, you can find me dancing bachata and enjoying the rhythm of life.
I currently live in Gdansk, where I’ve settled after completing my master’s degree abroad. I love meeting people from different cultures, hearing their stories, and sharing experiences. Whether it’s hosting travelers or being a guest on the road, I’m all about building meaningful connections and making every journey unforgettable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My Couchsurfing journey began in the summer of 2014 during an internship in northern Finland. I had brought my bicycle all the way from Poland and spent my free time cycling through the breathtaking landscapes of Lapland. It was during this time that I discovered Couchsurfing, and it completely changed the way I experience travel and connect with the world.
Couchsurfing has opened my heart and mind to the kindness of strangers, showing me that people are often far more generous and welcoming than I was taught to believe growing up. Coming from a family shaped by tough times in northern Poland, where caution around strangers was a lesson drilled into me, this shift was profound. Thanks to Couchsurfing, I’ve grown to embrace the beauty of trust, curiosity, and cultural exchange.
To keep Couchsurfing genuine and personal, I kindly ask that you avoid sending me generic requests. To show that you’ve taken the time to read my profile, please start your message with "Hyvää päivää" (good day in Finnish). It’s a simple gesture that helps me filter out spam and connect with fellow travelers who truly value this community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Letting go of others’ opinions about my “crazy” travel ideas allowed me to embark on a solo 1,000 km bicycle trip to Lapland. It was a life-changing adventure that sparked my passion for long-distance cycling. Since then, I’ve taken even longer trips, with my record being 1,800 km. My ultimate dream? To cycle around the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with planning hiking and cycling trips as I did it many times and it's a pleasure to spread my knowledge to others. I can also share many useful tips about hiking, camping, cycling... I can provide you my tips how to save money when traveling abroad, how to navigate (which apps to use and how to prepare them), hitchhike and so on.
