CURRENT MISSION

What I want out of traveling is to see and experience all 50 States. I want to disregard time and interact with as many people as I am able, wherever I find myself. I have a love for nature.

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate man. I like the moment when you are first getting to know people that you really like. That is my favorite thing about traveling, how that seems to happen more often than in daily life.

My favorite way to learn right now is to read new fiction. I have recently read Louise Erdrich, W. Somerset Maugham, Jack Kerouac, Lorri Moore, Nicholas Bouvier (travel), and others.

I have always branched out on my own, moving on my own, going on road trips alone, but do prefer to be around others, usually. It just turns out that anyone I know well is not willing to drop their job for a bit and come experience the US.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in giving more than I take. A humble attitude shows respect, consciousness, and understanding.

We can measure how long it is that we have lived, but we can not say for sure how long it is that we have left to live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in Austin, TX. I am getting ready to travel again. I will be taking my old BMW motorcycle out west towards San Diego starting the month of March.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoyed meeting people while surfing in the US. I met great people in Florida, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and have since met some people this summer who couchsurf in South Carolina and Austin, TX.

Riding through Tuscany on a bicycle was my favorite thing I have seen/done to date.

Read books.
Write letters.
Those are my top two to keep your brain in shape and the people that you send letters to will appreciate it very much.

I have been to about 25 National Parks and have many helpful approaches to visiting them.

I have also traveled across the United States. I can tell you much about the western states. I am traveling through the eastern coastal states out of SC this September.
