HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

(No longer living in the Martin) Circa April 2011...I live at the top of the stairs in a 22 unit Apt building in downtown Oly (olympia). Its been called a dorm for adults, b/c often you'll find 2-9 neighbors just hanging out in the hallway talking, about life, local/global politics, science, organic gardening and or food, shows, books, movies and or film, theater adn or vaudeville, feldenkrais, bacteriophage, dentistry, bike chain replacement, aerialism, photography, or the latest hack for sed gadget...its pretty amazing and egalitarian, the conversationalists usually end up wandering en mass down to the local taco joint, or bodega (say it with me Bo-de-ga) and that's how we roll in the Martin. Come share with us, it's like an urban commune, where everyone has their own bathroom and kitchen, yet, its downtown!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed for a while when i first came to Oly, and was put up by many wonderful people.

I spent many years traveling with the Dead and had many nights crashed on couches, floors, bathtubs, backseats, front seats, parking lots btw cars, and of course the all coveted extra bed, not to mention the friendly shared bed;)

Due to unfortunate situations and probably Mercury retrograde, i no longer have my spacious apt. So lets be creative and figure out what Olympia has to offer without. Worst case scenario, i have an extra bed in my VW, and a tent. So there's that. This too shall pass.

Teach, Learn, Share

Microbiology, virology, chemistry, ethnopharmacology, astrology, philosophy, photography, micrography, guitar, circular breathing on a didgeridoo, nuances of fine Indian cuisine, lotsa books to share and browse. As far as learning stuff, i'm interested to learn languages, about religions and spiritual practices of all kinds. I would like to get back into puppetry and street theater.
