ABOUT ME

Hi. My name is Mark.

I currently live in Oz, work full-time in Pharmaceuticals and study Business part-time at University.

I'm just chomping at the bit to travel so I have decided to put my life on hold and have booked myself a one way ticket to Spain. I plan to travel round the lower part of Europe - Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Croatia amongst others. Wherever the wind takes me! I'm just looking forward to meeting new people and experience new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am only new to this and just finding my feet. About to jet off to Europe and a friend, who currently hosts surfers, suggested I give this a go. Hopefully on my return I'll be able to return the favour to those who have helped me, as well as many others!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any as yet, but I have met many people who have. One of my friends currently hosts couch surfers from all over the world and they have all spoken highly of the experience.

Interests

I have a great group of friends and enjoy socialising, from a few beers at a friends house to a big night in the city!

I enjoy hitting up the beach and spending time outdoors doing things like skiing, surfing (though not well) and touch footy.

I like watching sport, especially Rugby.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I enjoy listening to everything, from chill out to rock. At the moment I'm in a Drum & Bass / Dubstep phase.
Movies - A few of my favourites are Gladiator, The Beach, Die Hard, Blood Diamond, Bourne Trilogy, Taken, Last King of Scotland, The Count of Monte Christo, V for Vendetta, In Bruges, District 9.
Books - I read a great deal, from all genre's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping on Stockton Beach on a crystal clear night watching the moon set over the dunes. I'd never considered that you could actually watch a "Moonset" before that.
