I've been a bit scared to try couchsurfing, but I'm now making an attempt. I haven't hosted or surfed, so I don't have any references to speak of. Maybe YOU can be the first! :-)

I like things that are sophisticated but approachable. I like learning about history and also enjoy a good conversation with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is varied, from classical that I listen to while reading/working to K-Pop and English pop that I listen to while running. If I'm feeling reflective, then I'll switch to something more folksy and thought provoking. Maybe Arcade Fire or Mumford & Sons.

I rarely watch movies, but am a big fan of TV shows like Downton Abbey and Mad Men. TV allows you to invest in characters across time and become intimately familiar with the nuances of their lives.
