Hello World. I'm Michelle, born in Taiwan, grew up in Southern California, was living/working/studying in Philadelphia and North Carolina for several years, and now I'm back in the bay. I'm a lover of many things: puns, food, travel, urban exploring, biking, making, lounging. I enjoy talking about consciousness/qualia, economic and social justice, mental health services, the use of data for social good, the strangeness of bodily functions, and the experience of living in a globalized world.

Couchsurfed in Poland, Croatia, and Germany. Met some great CSers while I was backpacking across Eastern and Central Europe summer 2016. There never seem to be an end to good conversation!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to spin some sick puns. And I cook, dabbling in Western and Asian cuisines. Love making stuff. Let's just say that I've made enough coasters to start an Etsy shop. And learning how to wheel throw and making some pottery pieces. Guess you could call me a pothead.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you my knowledge of the human brain and cognition, how to make butter and granola, and the most puns you'll ever come across. More practically, I can cook and clean in exchange for lodging. My friends would agree that I'm chill and respectful of others' spaces. Always down to hang out but also recognize that my host might want alone/quiet time.
