ABOUT ME

I am currently travelling around the United States, visiting friends and family, and searching for the syrup of wahoo. I have a well worn Subaru, some camping gear, and my 30 lb dog Hops to keep me company. I rarely turn down a chance for a new experience. I like to eat food with gusto, cook with love and drink tasty beverages with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

It all changes. Including my philosophy I suppose. To learn is to live. I believe kindness can change the world. Adventure is out there!

Lots. Books that make you think (Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates, One Hundred Years of Solitude). Music that helps me feel (Lumineers, Mumford and Sons). Movies with characters you'd like to meet (Like Water for Chocolate, Pan's Labyrinth), I love the passion and surprise in them.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I bought a puppy out of a cardboard box from a little boy in the mountains in Ecuador. She has become my constant travelling companion. People say I 'rescued' her. That misses the point. She is my friend.

I like to make, do, and fix things with my hands. I enjoy carpentry, soap making, auto mechanics, carving, and all manner of repair work. I'm happy to teach any of this, or any other skill I have. I'm even happier to learn things I don't know!
