HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I share information about my country, people, traditions and customs. I can show my city if I have time to do so. I also learn from other couchsurfers about their culture and countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted by several nice mates in different countries of the world, including U.S., Austria, Georgia and in my turn, I hosted a number of couchsurfers. I really enjoy this activity since it provides a great opportunity to meet interesting people from around the world and learn about various cultures, countries and regions.

Interests

I am interested in rural development. I volunteer for the local NGO Sadoqat with partnerships and fundraising. We implement projects on rural development with a focus on rural access to quality healthcare and education services in rural areas of Tajikistan. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped with the establishment of a kindergarten in my home village Ghazantarak in northern Tajikistan. The facility has been operative since 2015. It covers 100 children in 4 groups of 25 each and both the children and staff are happy with this opportunity. I am continuing my efforts in this area by implementing other projects.

I contributed to the construction of two additional classrooms in School No 51 of Ghazantarak Village, which created 70 seats and enabled the rural children to get access to wider space and quality education.

I am currently helping the Devashtich District Central Hospital with the renovation of its deteriorated wards and important facilities such as operating theaters and water and sanitation facilities.
