moved to Galveston with my partner. we’ve got a small apartment—you’d be on a pull out in the living room, and we’d all share a baño. I wish this weren’t true—-but it’s not a very accessible apartment—we’re on the 2nd floor, stair access only and it’s a small, standing room only, kind of shower. depending on schedules, we maybe able to host—usually down to meet up and hang out!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i host when i can, and surf when i can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've hosted an assortment of people--and no matter where they come from, they all seem to share a common sense of courtesy and adventure that can be hard to come by in other communities. had my first surf up in Detroit, and it was better than i could have imagined. i also went on a bike trip from Philly to Austin, which would not have been nearly as fun or as eye opening had it not been for couchsurfers (thank you!).

i went on a solo scramble up a mini mountain (katahdin). when i reached the top, i was just in clouds, but as i walked along the ridge, the clouds parted, and i was smacked with the immensity of it all; i couldn't help but smile.
