I was born in Alexandria, Eygpt. My family is from Benghazi, Libya and Iived there until I was about 4 years old. My family was then were forced under the threat of the dicator Muammar Gaddafi to flee from Libya to the United States. I have lived in Orlando since then and now im a student studying finance in the University of Central Florida. Im currently taking a break from the stress of school and have decided to travel around Asia for a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As much as I love traveling the normal backpacking routes that most travelers take I feel like I am missing out. The locations that cater to backpackers while nice it doesnt feel like it is the most authentic experience one could have when visitng a foreign country. I would love to experience new cultures from the inside view of the locals. Couchsurfing allows you to try things that you would have never thought you would if you were to stay in a hostel and is a great way to get out of your comfort zone. Lastly my main reason is really to make friends and have the oppurtunity to share cultures and ideas with people from all over the world.

Interests

I play a lot of sports at home. My favorites include weightlifting, American football, basketball, soccer, tennis, and raquetball. I also love playing music especially with other people.
I am a big Video Gamer and my favorite games that I play are The legend of Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Super Smash Bros, Halo, Bioshock, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, Earth Bound, Under Tale, and many more that I can't think of.

When it comes it comes to what kind of music I like its pretty broad. My favorite bands would have to be The Beatles, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi and many other older artists that are too much to list. I also enjoy classical music such as Mozart,Beethoven, Bach and especially Chopin as I love playing his music on piano.
I also like modern musicians such as Eminem, Bruno Mars, Adele and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a 2 week 8,500 mile road trip with some friends from Orlando, Florida to San Francisco, California and back. We stopped at many cities and national parks along the way and made for one of the most memorable trips of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

If your interested in learning something about music I might be able to help you with that! I've played guitar for 6 years and piano for about 2 years. I can teach you some basic stuff on those instruments and some basic music theory like reading music and how to translate them on to the instruments.

It would be really awesome to learn a little Japanese while traveling japan as I think the language is really cool and would be fun to impress my friends back at home. Also if I can learn some basic Japanese recipes to take home with me and have my family try it.
