About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm here to connect with people, create grand adventures, and indulge in deep conversations.

ABOUT ME

I love life. I am currently a high school science teacher and have a BA in History and Science Education. I always want to learn, grow, and share knowledge and experiences with others.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short and should be made beautiful. We should always keep an open mind and look to grow through reading, experiencing new things, and interacting with others. We must then also share our experience and knowledge with each other, especially future generations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer a humble air mattress and a couch. If you would like, I can take you out to bars, restaurants, show you beautiful nature trails through forests, rivers, and fields. Or we could just relax and talk. It's all good to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend and I backpacked through twelve European countries for six weeks. Though it is absurd to attempt to use words to describe that experience, it was one that I will never forget. Every face, every delight, every disaster has a special place in my memory and has helped me grow very much as a person. Ask me in person if you'd like to laugh, cry, or be thrilled by these experiences.

Interests

I love to learn, to read, to express through art and writing, to just sit and ponder, to make new friends and hang out with old ones. I'm most happy immersed in nature. I hike, bike, jog, and sit encapsulated in it whenever possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Choose to live an active reflective life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair deal about history, science, computers, bikes, and a hundred other random things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a very good cup of coffee, tea, and a cocktail or two.

I have a decent library you'd be welcome to peruse and enjoy during your stay.

There is a hookah that is great for lounging around.

A warm environment, an intellectual conversation, and a good story.
