About Me

Hey everyone, I'm a 34 year old male from Swansea, Wales in the UK. I have been travelling the world and teaching English for the last 6 years, it has been an epic adventure and I have loved meeting new people and experiencing new places as I have traveled around. I love learning new languages and I currently speak 6 to a reasonable level. As well as languages, I have a deep love for music and my guitar is like an extra limb on my body while I travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people from all over the world who have a similar attitude to life, in terms of experiencing new things and being open-minded to the world around us. I love practicing the languages that I am learning and meeting people who speak these other languages is always very interesting for me. I basically want to enjoy each day and meet great people as I live my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music especially old hiphop, jazz and Motown. Stevie Wonder is a god to me and I love the dusty sound of the old Motown records. My favourite book is 'The Old man and the sea' by Hemingway, just a long running metaphor for life and as for my favourite movie, I'd probably have to say it was

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered in a Nepali school up in the Himalayas in 2014 and lived with a local family. It was truly incredible and taught me so much about how life is for these people. Some fruit from their trees, the beauty of a sunset, and the smell of some fresh flowers in a field were all that they needed to be happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is all about this. Without growth I feel like I am going nowhere, so I always try and push myself to experience at least 2 new things a day, no matter how simple or complex they are. I have been a teacher for 6 years and truly love my job.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I speak many languages, have many experiences and stories to tell, I love teaching people to play the guitar and I feel that I am a friendly individual who can offer a life long friendship with anyone who is open-minded.
