ABOUT ME

I like all kinds of sports, adventures, traveling, hanging out with friends, good books and music. I finished my PhD in Physical Oceanography in 2010 focusing on the Arctic. I work on research vessels and icebreakers for my research, like fun people and I am always up for something, like hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking, biking, volleyball, soccer, cycling, diving, good beer. I live with my American boyfriend who has lived all over the US and in West Africa for a while so together we have a very diverse background.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed before and I am also hosting although I am doibg a fair bit of travelling and have loads of friends and family visiting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a few times meeting great people that way and have had friends and others crash at my place in the past. I would like to meet new people and surf when I am traveling and host people if possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been north of the northern polar circle and south of the southern polar circle within a month, having seen polar bears and penguins.
