Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
Find the first lucky surfer to grace our home with their presence
ABOUT ME
Just excited about the infinite possibilities in this world! The best experiences I had while traveling were the most random and spontaneous, which is the best way to do it!
Since I've returned after my own adventure, I feel like I'm in a constant state of observance, of myself, others and the things around me. Funny how there can be a period of time between the ages of 5 and 24 where you stop asking 'why?'...
PHILOSOPHY
There's no such thing as a wrong decision as long as it's what you want at the time.
"What do we leave behind when we cross a frontier? Each moment seems split in two! Meloncholy for what is left behind, and the excitement of entering a new land." Ernesto Guevara ("Motorcycle Diaries")
Live curious!
Change is the only constant in our lives and not resisting that will clear the way of suffering.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed couches for 3 months in Europe and I can't imagine having done it any other way. Now that I'm back at home for a few months I'd love to be able to send some of that goodness back into the world of travelers and find some people to host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had only wonderful experiences couchsurfing and they have all been very different.
Our host in Budapest took us on a 4 day hiking/camping trip in the Mecsek Mountains in Pecs, Hungary with a group of his friends and by the end of it we were exchanging performances of our National Anthems around a campfire and being initiated into an "onion & garlic party." He also taught us everything he knows about hitchiking!
I was blessed enough to happen upon a sort of "couchsurfing mansion" in Zurich, Switzerland which is based in an old hotel-type flat and we stayed 3 days longer than expected because of the atmosphere and unpredictability of it all.
My only problem with couchsurfing is when I have to leave!
Interessen
Active things like running or hiking, I used to play basketball. I'm pretty curious about other cultures and history, I like to know why people are where they are. My favorite time to be in a new city is at dusk, just has it's own beauty.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
As far as movies and books go, basically anything that will make me think has been my goal (and not a hard one to keep), even if it's a bit out of my comfort zone at first.
John Butler Trio & Newton Faulkner (amazing artists!) Mumford and Sons, Beirut, Bon Iver, Sigor Ros, Radiohead, The National
'How to Know God (Deepak Chopra),'
'The Power of Now' &"A New Earth"(Eckhart Tolle)
'2012 and the Galactic Center: The Return of the Great Mother,' (Christine R. Page) (just an interesting read)
'Everything I Want to do is Illegal: War Stories From the Local Food Front' (Joel Salatin) (wonderful, wonderful book), 'The Shack' (William P. Young)
'The Four Agreements' & 'The Fifth Agreement' (Don Miguel Ruiz), 'Conversations with God' (Neale Donald Walsh) (it blew my mind)
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Bought a ticket to Bali an hour before the flight left and brought just a carry on with me for 12 days.
