About Me
**IF I FEEL THAT YOU HAVEN'T REALLY BOTHERED TO READ MY PROFILE, YOU'LL GET A NO FROM ME**
**UNABLE TO HOST FEMALES OR COUPLES AT THE MOMENT**
**I prefer last minute requests. Don't send a request more than a week or 10 days in advance.**
I’m a Peshawar born and raised native. I was in the United States for my graduate studies and got introduced to this awesome community. Unfortunately, I was unable to host in the US, but now I’m back in Peshawar and can host and would love to give back to the community.
So welcome to Peshawar. The so-called city of flowers. Come and enjoy a few days in our social lives. Enjoy the slowness of it, the endless cups of chai (black tea with milk) and qahwa (traditional green tea), the amazing food, the divine conversations, and best of all the lovely and hospitable people.
Here's the translation of a japanese poem written about Peshawar long ago:
"This city's morning starts with prayers / an old man is standing facing the rising sun
This city's morning starts with chai / there is smell of goat's milk boiling
Long time ago, when invading this country / they chopped-off the head of buddha statue
Gentle pakistani is walking this way / he doesn't seem to have blood of such people in his veins
City of flowers, peshawar / city that bloom in the wildness
No need to live fast / no need to rush into death
Gentle pakistani is walking this way
This city's noon starts with prayers / at a mosque, everybody looks like a good man
This city's noon starts with chai / there is smell of curry cooked
Maybe she escaped to this place by crossing the border / holding an unlively child on her knees
Gentle pakistani puts small change / to the women's bowl, who is sitting on the roadside
City of flowers, peshawar / city that bloom in the wildness
No need to live fast / no need to rush into death
Gentle pakistani is walking this way
This city's night starts with prayers / the quoran is flowing under a crescent moon
This city's night ends with chai / i can sense that charcoal fire is being put out
City of flowers, peshawar / city that bloom in the wildness
No need to live fast / no need to rush into death
Gentle pakistani is walking this way"
I love to travel around and meet different people and learn about their cultures and lives. I love to hear life and travel stories, so when I'm surfing or hosting, I'd definitely like to talk about your life, your experiences, your goals and your opinions and ideas.
My interests include, among a ton of other things, people, travelling (duh....), coffee, food from other cultures, running, biking and electric guitar solos. I'd rather like to get to know you and your city from your perspective. So regardless of whether I'm surfing or hosting, I'm always as interested in the person as in the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's one of the most passionate, kindest and finest communities out there.
When I’m surfing, I primarily want to meet the locals in the place I'm visiting. I want to see your city from your eyes. I want to experience it the way you experience it, the things you love about it and the things you think are unique about it. I want to get to know the spirit of the city.
When I’m hosting, it’s for giving back to the community. I’m also interested in getting to know people from places I haven’t been to and maybe I’ll get to know it from the stories you tell me.
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have extreme liking for a specific genre of anything really. Just whatever clicks at that particular time and place. But there are some that I like more than the others:
Music: Classic Rock, Indie Rock, Pop, Alternative.
Books: The Alchemist, Les Miserables, The Book thief and a lot more.
