About Me

Hi fellas,
I am originally from Vietnam but grew up and spent most of my life in Germany. Primarily, I consider myself as a citizen of the world and love meeting people from all cultures and backgrounds. I am an easy-going, friendly and open minded person who is always up for an adventure! If not travelling or enjoying nature, I am following a PhD in Utrecht at the intersection of Maths and Medicine.
I have lived in London for almost a year during my Master's degree and in Québec city for 3 months for a research internship. Unfortunately, I have not that much couchsurfing experience yet, but I have heard great things about it and thought I would give it another go. My last experience was in Berlin (as a visitor) and it was really interesting and funny!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling and living abroad, I have experienced so much kindness and hospitality from various lovely people. Now that I am working as a PhD candidate, I have quite a busy schedule. However, I would like to pass on the kindness and warmth I received whenever my schedule allows it. My vision for making the world a better place is passing on happiness from one to another and spreading harmony with my everyday behaviour! I also believe in the kindness boomerang! :)

One of my passions includes travelling while avoiding the tourist hot spots. Thus, as a couchsurfer myself, I am eager to find out what the place is really about and experience it as a local.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hitchhiked from Dresden to Barcelona with a friend after graduating from high school. After my graduation from university, I made a hiking and climbing trip in the Canadian wilderness with another friend.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I have recently moved to Utrecht, I would like to learn Dutch! :) However, I am keen on improving my French and Spanish or sharing my language abilities as well.

One great thing about travelling is exploring different food cultures. I am sure many of you have great memories of get-together that revolve around food. It's just because food connects people! :D I would love to try and learn traditional recipes, discover stories behind it as well as share some culture of my own through cooking. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very positive and active person who would enjoy cooking for their hosts!
