About Me

I'm a 23 years old graphic design student currently studying in Dessau, Germany. Before moving to Germany I have spent a couple of years living and studying abroad and I really enjoyed meeting new people and getting exposed to new cultures every time when I was away from home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I never liked going to a new country and visit the "must see" places where you are supposed to take some nice photos and come back. That touristic trap was never my thing since I like visiting more authentic places and I think this is the best to see the real culture. But since such places are usually not commercial, it's not that easy to find them on the internet. For this reason, you need to meet locals and get some useful tips from them, basically, you need human input! So, as someone who likes meeting new people and talking very much, Couchsurfing helps me a lot in achieving this! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Techno & French electronic music

My fav authors are: Milan Kundera, Paul Auster (The New York trilogy) George Orwell's novels, Ray Bradbury

Design books: Dear Data, The design of every day's' things, Information is Beautiful, Animated Infographics

I would say I'm a pretty big fan of European cinema. My list of favorite film directors includes names such as Lars Von Trier, Gasper Noe, Kieslowski, and many others. Also some other names such as Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Woody Allen, Tim Burton, and Wong Kar Wai.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was involved in a film shooting in China a couple of times as an actress. Though it’s so common thing happening to emigrants cause there is an emerging amateur online cinema there and they always hire international students for jobs like this. Still, it was a pretty interesting experience :D

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in arts or design I can be a really nice companion to talk to :D Since I'm in the place where Bauhaus, one of the most influential art movements in the world took place in I can share my what I know about this culture and what I have experienced so far by being in Dessau.

I also think each new person that you talk to can inspire you and teach you something useful even without knowing about it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lately, I've been traveling a lot and every trip that I had was full of interesting memories that I would like to share with you.

I also have to mention that singing is one of my main hobbies, and as a ukulele player I can add some chill and positive vibes to your day :D
