About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting more people in my hometown of St.Petersburg
ABOUT ME
Hooked on travelling.
Crazy about languages.
Bookworm.
Workaholic.
Sad music devourer.
Teacher.
- these are the words to describe me briefly.
As for my current occupation I work as a translator and I teach kids at high-school.
Teaching is not an easy job but I really do enjoy it because it gives me the feeling that what we do matters.
My favourite sports are swimming, mountain hiking and rock climbing.
I love to move but I also enjoy a quiet evening with a book on my couch or a cup of coffee with my old friends or with my colleagues that I adore.
I love to live in the XXI century because it gives me the opportunity to just run away from everyday routine, hop on a plane and in a couple hours end up on the other side of the planet, or talk to my friends who are scattered all over the world now. California, Paris, Helsinki, South Korea, Munich - it doesn't matter, you just click a button on Skype and you talk to people you love who are miles away.
I'm a very easy person to host - I've been on really long hikes in my life so I don't mind sleeping on the floor or sharing space with other people. And I have some useful skills :)) I don't mind washing dishes and I love to cook (when I'm on holidays :)).
PHILOSOPHY
"let's hit the road, dear friend of mine"
-
the song "Let's get out of this country" by Camera Obscura has been an anthem of my life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Normally, I'm a very-very busy person :(, as my work takes up a lot of time, but I try to host people when I can and I had some really great experience surfing people's couches.
