About Me

I am a 24 year old recent graduate who is still in the process of discovering herself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

An important part of any travel is getting to know the people and the culture of the place. I believe that couch surfing is the best platform to meet like minded people and to live the place through its inhabitants

Interests

I am a nature lover and an avid reader ( though in recent times, I haven't read much). I love having stimulating discussions over a number of topics which include society, politics, environment and culture. Travelling is my passion but I don't have a checklist. I love soaking in the city by getting lost in its numerous streets, alleys and markets. I am also passionate about languages. I can speak 5 languages fluently and am in the process of learning the 6th one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately, my knowledge of good music and films is limited. I mostly listen to Indian music and watch Indian films. However I am open and willing to explore new genres of music and films.

As far as books are concerned, it is difficult for me to choose a few over others , however following books have left a lasting impression on my mind- Gone with the wind, The Kite Runner, Uncle Tom's Cabin, To kill a mockingbird, Wuthering Heights. However there are numerous other books and series that I have thoroughly enjoyed and which have helped me grow as a person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My decision to come to France on as an English Language Assistant in a tiny city of Besancon all alone without having any idea about what lies ahead. Thankfully for me, this experience has been extremely enriching!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know about teaching, but there is so much to learn and to share. I can share interesting tit-bits about my culture and my country and would love to learn about new cultures, different ways of life, different ideologies and belief systems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of enthusiasm, an open mind and a few hours of conviviality. I am looking forward to an interesting cultural exchange!!

Countries I’ve Visited
