About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet like-minded spiritual World citizens

ABOUT ME

I think then write (http://lifeinasia2013.blogspot.com) and sometimes read. I read about spirituality, economics (check out Sacred Economics by Charles Eisenstein) and human/societal development.

I'm a citizen of the world, with no place in particular to call home. Cairo and Abingdon (UK) are the leading contenders to that title at the moment.

PHILOSOPHY

Hone and sharpen your instincts by listening to them and acting on their signals. The heart will always know better than the mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surf, host and go to meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Milan, Boston, Toronto, Beijing, Beirut and Israel.
Hosted in Jinan, Birmingham and Cairo.
Went to meetings in Birmingham, Boston and Cairo.

Interests

Thinking, writing and reading.

Having experiences that shatter my currently held paradigms of reality.

Getting a buzz from being understood in another language.

The number 3.

Spirituality and economics. In spirituality, love is the medium that connects things. In economics its money.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies that help shatter my held paradigms of reality - the Matrix being a perfect example.

Books - Sacred Economics, Charles Eisenstein. 1984, Orwell. Brave New World, Aldous Huxley. Books that deal with different societies/utopias/dystopias. Books and movies that deal with ideas.

Don't ask me what bands/musicians I like, I don't get that specific with music. Let's leave it at I like simple, calming songs with piano or acoustic guitar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning new things about myself and the World every day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, how to speak Egyptian Arabic, swimming.

I would like to learn about other people's spiritual beliefs. I'd also like to learn more economics and sociology.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa

Countries I’ve Lived In

Egypt, United Kingdom, United States
