What about me?
I am french but consider myself as an international person. I cannot imagine life without the contact of foreigners. The world is too big to stay at the same place, and when you cannot move for daily life reasons, hanging out with foreigners is for me the way to escape and travel.

In 2014 - 2015 For 10 month I lived in Poland in a shared flat with 4 other people from Azerbaijan, Hungaria , France and Italia. I was doing there a European Voluntary Service where I was taking care of kids in a kindergarden. I had during this time the opportunity to meet people from all over Europe. A few month later
I came in Brazil. I spend three month there as a volunteer for children from the favelas. It was such an incredible experience to feel the good vibes, the curiosity into their eyes..Hard to explain, better to be lived.
Thoses two international "too" short-term experiences were the most incredibles experiences I had ever did.

Almost 9 years later, I became a librarian. I work now close to Lyon. I still have in myself this willing to meet with foreigners and listen a huge amount of life stories. I enjoy talking in english, portugese or spanish. I don't have so much opportunity in everyday life to speak foreign languages so I enjoy meeting with foreigners and couchsurfers from all around earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am curious to share about experiences, to be able to discover a city not only by the way of touristics books but also throught the eyes of the locals.

When I am hosting someone, I want this person to feel confortable. I want to share discussions and I would be really pleased to make discover my culture by having some time together, share a meal...

That's why I won't host when I cannot spend time with my guest. If I am declining your request without answer, it is not in a way to be rude, just because I am not available, don't be upset because of that ;)

Interests

As a librarian, I read a lot. I am not the old librarian bookish cliche that we can hear about when we see how it is painted in pop culture. I am very enthusiastic about my job. I like listening to people to recommand them some work that they can be touched by ( novels, comics, movies..)I also like listening life stories that I find inspirating so I'll be happy to listen to yours.

Learning new languages:
I am interested about languages. I particularly have interest in Portuguese and polish. I am also curious about turkish.

Writing and drawing Comics
I love drawing since I am little. I have a project of having my own comics published in some years I hope. Im still working on it. My instagram account : marierosalie_dessins

Going to cinema
I am open to every kind of discussion about cinema.
I really enjoy sharing point of views about movies and series. I like also to explain to people why a movie touched my heart particularly. I enjoy discussing about characters' writing and how to write scenes en general.
