About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently learning to know “How does it feel, to be without a home, like a complete unknown, like a rolling stone?”… And all the other lessons that come along.

ABOUT ME

I’m a young Israeli guy taking a long rest from the bustling Israel, and traveling as a backpacker around the globe. Curious to see, hear, smell, touch and taste all the world has to offer (well, actually I’m vegetarian, so there are some limitations in the “taste” section). I’m looking forward to meet you, see your place of residency through local eyes, and when I’m home – I’ll be more than glad to have you around!

PHILOSOPHY

An ye harm none, do as ye wilt

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh... Music. I’ll never say that I like to listen to everything, but I have quite a broad taste. Music and all around it (the acts and artists, the artistic movements and scenes, the fashion...) are of great importance to me. Spending hours digging into allmusic.com for some Indie band from Manchester or surfing through Wikipedia while reading about NY Club Kids movement or the Detroit Techno scene is among favorite ways of waisting time.
I especially like Alternative & Indie rock and electronica, minimal & Detroit techno, Chicago & garage house, electro, trip-hop, IDM, new wave, post-punk, shoegaze, Madchester, dream pop, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, grunge, classic rock & roll, hard rock, industrial, blues rock, 80s thrash pop, 90s stupid dance and generally spending to much time trying to classify music :-P
Books – I love poetry, but mostly Hebrew one. Among my favorite books is the breathtaking 100 years of solitude, the thought provoking Dune, the nostalgic Alice in Wonderland & Beyond the looking Glass, the hilarious Three Men in a Boat (to Say Nothing of the Dog)… and: Naked Meal, Lolita, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Beach Music, 1984, Ender’s Game, Slaughterhouse 5, The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Catch 22, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, The House of Dolls, The Stranger...
Movies... My favorite Directors are Stanley Kubrick & David Cronenberg (for very different reasons). Movies I've enjoyed and admired include: American Beauty, Dr. Strangelvoe, The Lion King, Cidade de Deus, Requiem for a Dream, Bijitâ Q, Midnight Cowboy, Clerks, A Clockwork Orange, eXistenZ, Lola Rent, Natural Born Killers, The Sound of Music, Thelma & Louise, Life of Brian, Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Videodrome, A Ghost in the Shell, Gummo, Monty Python, Sin City, A Scanner Darkly, Into the Wild any many more...
Besides, I have special interest in rave movies, Japanese cinema and Israeli cinema.
