Overview
About Me
Born and raised in small town Ontario, I did the University thing like everyone else, then became disillusioned. I am now firmly of the opinion that, while there is nothing wrong with University, Life is where most learning should and does happen. Since entering 'the real world' I've thrown myself into projects, started performing and doing circus, learned to cook in a restaurant, learned French, taught English, screwed up, succeeded, had the odd one too many drink at the bar, made friends from all over, and never regretted a moment of it.
PHILOSOPHY
Always keep one foot outside my comfort zone. This philosophy is what has led me to try kiteboarding, performing, teaching, traveling--basically every interesting thing I've done with my life. I also believe that the best way to travel is to live in a place, to get to know it's quirks firsthand, along with the quirky people who live there. That's why I spent two years in Québec, and nearly a year in Spain. Not always possible, but there's no better way to travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't really have experience couchsurfing, but I've hosted perhaps 4 or 5 times (through the people I've lived with), and lived for a fantastic month in an apartment that was couchsurfing central, and would wake up nearly every morning to see a new face in the kitchen. I have had nothing but good experiences with my couchsurfers.
Interests
In 2012 I discovered circus, and that has consistently been a passion for me ever since. I'm also a huge fan of music (I play folk guitar), and especially music festivals. I love to meet new people, visit places, read books, play music, hula hoop...
Languages are my other lady love, and part of what I find irresistible in meeting people from everywhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I decided on a whim to go to Costa Rica, only about a month and a half before I was actually there, going with one other girl I didn't know at the time. It was UNREAL, and I don't regret it for a moment.
