About Me

(7/22/21) A roommate moved out with some days remaining on the lease, so I get to finally host some surfers. I did plenty of surfing and met lots of great people and would love to contribute back to the community.
Location is in East Austin, close to bus line, not too far from supermarket. Private room with nice bed but messy from being moved out. House is shared with 7 roommates all dudes with 2 bathrooms.
I am fully vaccinated but some roommates are not. If you are not vaccinated, it's not a bad idea to wear a mask while in the common area.
Done my share of traveling, backpacking, road trips, workstay at hostel, etc but have taken a break recently (actually probably washed out). Looking to host travelers or emergency requests. If you have tales to tell I have ears to hear.
I'm a cycling nut and have extra bikes. Capable guide to Austin if you want to explore. Budget foodie for the food trucks/tacos. Love outdoors stuff and art, plenty of both in Austin.
Include in the request where from, where to, and what you are doing. Please request only 2 nights to start, we can discuss extension after. Aug 9th is last night available. Also 420.

(2016-2017) I quit my corporate job in 2016 to move from Philadelphia to Austin. What started as a desire for a change of scene evolved into an epic 10 month wandering with a road trip from Philly to Austin, some family time in China, backpacking across Southeast Asia, visiting friends in Pacific Northwest, then finally back to Austin.

(2017-2018) I had caught the travelbug and found it difficult to go back to normal career/life after this experience. I ended up work-staying in an Airbnb hostel in Austin, delivering food on bicycle, driving Lyft, and hustling around for cash jobs. Recently I came back from a 2 month backpacking trip through historical cities in China, Tibet, then Japan. Currently I'm on a round-trip road trip from Austin to the Northeast to visit friends and see new places along the way.

(2019) I packed all of my belongings into my car and drove back from Austin to the Northeast. Originally planned to move back to East Coast but plans completely fell apart and I'm in total drifter mode. Been crisscrossing this part of the country visiting friends, seeing places, hiking state parks, and catching my favourite local bands in their locale. Trying to decide where I settle...

Travelling and meeting people have really change what I want to do, how I handle stress and problems, and how I want to spend my time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I came to Austin for the live music. Most bands haven't come back from the pandemic but there's plenty of shows especially on weekends. I will probably invite you to go see some local bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get scammed for a $600 USD haircut at a salon in China. My father yelled at the manager over the phone, claiming to have already contacted the State Department, CCTV, and the police and threatening to sue and close the shop. Got my money back.
