About Me

**I do travel by myself/alone sometimes, but I am not interested on dating anyone. I am getting sick of harassment messages on CS. I've met awesome male hosts or friends along my trips, but I also get stupid messages with clear second thoughts. DON'T BE A JERK.

____

***Please don't ask me for a couch if you haven't read "my home" section yet. I get many requests everyday from people asking me if I live close to Copacabana. I don't! I live in the forest area of Niterói, which is a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro. **

____

I love getting to know and experience different cultures and how people interact: that's why I love traveling. I believe each person is unique and singular and I love hearing stories about people's lives.

I love dancing but I'm much more into talking, reading, hiking, cooking together and watching movies than into parties.

People say I smile a lot. :D

I'm a physics teacher, I used to research in Geology but now I'm studying Psychology (almost finishing a 5-years degree) and enjoying to be a therapist. I love to learn and do different things.

I love epistemology and the history of science, technology, and habits. I love old technologies and I have plans to learn raku, glass blowing, loom and more. I also love artisan cookery and fermentation. Recently I took courses with Sandor Katz and Richard Miscovich at Sterling College (Vermont).

I like reading and I recently began reading one book from each country in the world (198 books). Even then, I would rather seek ways of learning things by experiencing them for myself instead of merely reading.

I neither drink nor smoke. No, I am not religious. I just prefer not to.

I love the countryside, ecovillages, agroforestry (I have some courses in this area), but I am not a mystical person. I am a sensitive person. Sustainability is a very important theme to me and I take it very serious. I support organic farmers and pay lots of attention on the origins of my food.

I love to be close to the water. Sea, rivers, waterfalls. I paddle va'a (hawaian canoe) in the sea 3 or 4 times a week, and maybe you can join me.

I like watching dramas, historical and real life based movies. It's not that I like all cult movies, but I usually don't like blockbusters.

Education is a passion. I love to talk about that. My ideas converge on the ones by Paulo Freire, Rubem Alves, Maria Helena Souza Patto, José Pacheco and others.

I recently started to read about systemic practices on movements (such as feldenkrais, BMC and Klauss Vianna technique) and to practice iyengar yoga.

I love my country, but we are going through a terrible moment and I am not reading news anymore to maintain my mental health. I am practicing self-care to face some problems. I truly believe it's an important political strategy.
