ABOUT ME

At the end of my second year of university I decided I wanted to take a year off to travel and take some time to enjoy my youth. So far, in my time away from higher learning, I've worked at a summer camp in Alberta, and traveled to Germany, France and England. Currently, I am saving up to travel to Australia where I will be visiting friends from the summer camp and enjoying everything their culture has to offer. After Australia, I will be going back to Alberta to work at the summer camp for an additional four months before I go back to University in September.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything will eventually work out. It may not be the way we imagined, but it will work out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be traveling to Australia in the near future and plan on visiting friends I have there, however, there are many cities I would love to visit where I do not know anyone. I'm very eager to meet new people and learn about how they live their lives and view the world. I am facinated by different cultures and want to take every opportunity to expose myself to them as possible.

Interests

I love traveling anywhere and everywhere, learning about history, experiencing cultural exchanges, playing and watching soccer, listening to all kinds of music (really, I'm not terribly focused on one), meeting new people who have a story to tell, photography (but only sometimes), camping and the outdoors, working with children, and spending time with people I care about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love old movies. I believe a lot of the magic that defined the earlier days of the film industry has, sadly, worn away by time. Some of my favorites Stalag 17, GiGi, The Graduate, Paper Moon, The Swiss Family Robinson and The Great Escape to name a few.
