ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old communication student from Finland. My life right now is combination of working, studying and travelling. I'm living in two countries with my girlfriend. Part of year we live in the Philippines and the other part in Finland. We love travelling, surfing, having fun and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment just surfing and offering good company for hanging around and showing some local places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed couple of awesome couches both in Spain and New Zealand.
Also we had this "extreme" surfing experience: On summer 2009 we were lost in the dark night of Paris. With all the hostels/hotels in the city full, (or so we were told) with our backpacks, 20+ km to the closest camp site, we found our situation quite frustrating. There we stood, 12 o'clock at night next to some locked up park, when some unknown couple walked by. We asked for some help with the map, but finally ended up spending the night at their home. I don't think many would pick up four complete strangers roaming around nightly Paris, but it's good to know there are people who do.

Me and my girlfriend had a amazing couchsurfing experience in switzerland. We missed our train and flight and got stranded in some random trainstation in late evening. This really nice and helpful swiss couple invited us to stay in their place for couple of days before we took our new flight back to home.

Interests

Music and sports, no doubt. Back in the days I started playing piano then moved to guitar and drums. Sadly I'm not playing any instrument right now. Sports, well..there aint a sport I wouldnt like, just that icehockey and football are getting more of my attention. Also I'm really fan of extreme-sports and I do skateboard, surf and snowboard a little (not really good but is more like a lifestyle for me).Having fun and doing crazy things with my friends keeps me going. There is nothing better than a good laugh. And of course travelling is what i really love and would like to do more, i wish one day i could take my backpack and keep going without destination.

Music, Movies, and Books

Basicly everything goes with music. It just depends on the mood. I dont really have a favourite genre. I would say i'm a broad-minded. Music usually means chilling for me. Movies, there are so many good movies that it is really hard to say. I'm kind of a moviefreak. Couple of directors to mention: Shane Meadows, David Fincher, Guy Ritchie, Chan-wook Park, Christopher Nolan
