ABOUT ME

What am I like? Curious, eager to learn and improve, mostly happy. I want to enjoy life slowly and really have time to see and hear people.
I have 3 lovable children and a kind husband. The kids challenge me to keep an open mind and teach me things mostly every day.
I enjoy the bustle of cities but find a wonderful calm by the sea. My favourite sounds are waves crashing on the beach and the soft clucking of water against the cliffs of a small island.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had the chance to try CS yet but have friends who have had some good experiences. However, I have had the pleasure of the same kind of experience through the years by visiting the "friend of a friend of a friend".

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading, movies and music very much. I can't watch or read anything violent though because of my vivid imagination. Nasty images haunt me for days and give me nightmares!
With a first grader, 2 teenagers and a music loving husband our house is filled with music and movies in all genres, children's songs to hip hop. Personally I prefer jazz, rock, reggae, folk, classical to heavy metal but I'm willing to give all kinds music a chance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, raelly can't pin point just one thing right now. The world has so many amazing places and people. But human nature never ceases to fascinate me. People keep amazing me with their kindness, intelligence, sense of humor. Gives me faith in this world. And my children are a constant source of wonder!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in life long learning. As I find myself to be good at many things but master of nothing ;) I always have a lot to learn. Languages are a passion and I want to become fluent in french, improve my spanish and then learn som russian. I would really like to learn more handicrafts and have tried som traditional knitting and also a 1000 year old viking technique. Still need some practise with that! The past years I've learnt to drive a tractor, paddle a kayak and studied plants.
I'm a swimming teacher so if you want some lessons just ask!
