About Me

Hey there everyone, my name is Murad Bamehriz and I plan on travelling pretty much anywhere I can go :) (while spending as little money as possible). After graduating high school I had pretty much has no idea what I was gonna be doing in "life". So I thought I might as well see whats out there before I decide where I'll be heading. Kinda worked in the opposite way as I expected it, I thought I'd "find my calling", instead I kinda just wanna keep travelling. Anyway I'd say I'm a pretty easy going person, as long as we're having fun . I love meeting new people and learning all about them and their adventures as well as sharing my own :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I mean if I'm honest I can't afford hotels everywhere I go and meeting cool people along the way is definitely a bonus.

Music, Movies, and Books

So when it comes to music I pretty much listen to everything, but here are a few of the thing I've been on recently. Alt J, Beach House, Tyler the creator, Brockhampton, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Smiths, Car Seat Headrest, KOTA the friend, J. Cole, Bass, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, French Kicks, Mura Masa, Kendrick Lamar and a whole bunch of stuff.

Books, well I've been reading a lot of Haruki Murakami but I've been getting a bit tired of him. So right now I'm reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, Thus Spoke Zarathusa by Nietzsche and and Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hm, well I don't think I've done anything amazing as of yet but there a few cool things I've done.
Did the 5 day Annapurna hike in 3 days (my legs were dead after)
Got kidnapped once while hitchhiking but we ended up okay
Donated my liver to my grandma (can't drink for a while now)
Illustrated a poetry book about mental illness
Acted in a short series about for a travelling agency
Had a minor voice acting role in a Bollywood movie

Uh yeah that's all I can think of for now

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a few songs on the piano and the ukulele (if I happen to carry mine or if you have one). I can also teach you Arabic or Mizo (a language indigenous to the North East of India). I claim to be able to do a backflip but no one has seen me do it yet. I read a lot about philosophy so if you wanna talk about a few concepts or ideologies I'm down to tell you what I know/think. I think I'm a decent artist so I could teach you some things too, I mostly work with digital art though. If you enjoy smoking I can teach you how to roll a pretty decent joint :P.

I'm pretty much down to learn anything new as long as it doesn't kill me
