About Me

CURRENT MISSION
meet other people

ABOUT ME
I am a dad of two lovely kids Loraine Makena and Max Koome, who add so much delight to our lives. I work for a charitable project in Kenya, that I founded years back https://www.facebook.com/groups/120155871471316/). I and My wife Joy and our kids are residing at Lewa Downs about 25 km from the town of Meru and 15 km to Isiolo; 4 -5 hours drive from the capital Nairobi. We have lived in Germany, New Zealand and Australia before we relocated back to Kenya.

PHILOSOPHY

Together we can make the world a better home for all of us. Let us therefore respect humanity and conserve our nature!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCH-SURFING
I have appreciated all moments we have hosted couch-surfers, and the many lessons I and my family have learnt from these meetings. I absolutely like
talking to interesting people about my culture and learn about their culture and countries as well. I can host you on my couch if need be

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted in Kenya and before while living in New Zealand through Couchsurf and severally using the hospitality club as well.
POLITE REQUEST: If you would like us to host you, please send in your request early enough. We have had some people sending a request just one day before or surprisingly few hours before requesting to be hosted! If for any reasons, you change your mind about coming to stay with us, please give us a notice before and decline the offer on time. We have had people failing to show up even after they confirmed we host them. This is not only wasting our time staying home waiting for them but also very highly inconveniencing us!

Interests

I would love to meet people and know what they stand for, what the world means to them, and hear their experiences of whatever makes their world tick!

  • culture
  • education
  • traveling
  • socializing
  • hiking
  • teaching
  • parks

Music, Movies, and Books

all inspirational books: I absolutely love Jazz and soul music. Give me some and you see my feet move.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have founded a Non - Profit Organization that will help mostly under resourced children meet their basic needs and have an education. You can read more about this at (https://www.facebook.com/groups/120155871471316/) This is partly why we had to relocate back to Kenya to have this dream actualized! You are welcome to be part of this dream..

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more from other people...whatever little thing i can learn from you is worthy learning and will be thankful.

I live on the slopes of Mt Kenya and near many national parks in Kenya. If you would like to help in booking a safari, or would like to hike Mt. Kenya, the second biggest mountain in Africa; I can help link you with travel agents doing this here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am outgoing, easy to talk too, and my family and friends say am humorous and jovial person. I have a natural gift for everyone; And this is the gift of FRIENDSHIP. I am easy to make friends, and just as reiterated earlier, whatever little thing I can learn from you or what you can learn from me..comes with a lot of appreciation.
