ABOUT ME

I'm a 25-year-old graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I've traveled quite a bit considering my budget and time and I hope to do more soon. I currently manage a brewpub near Comerica Park and Ford Field in Downtown Detroit.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in basic human rights, not mixing church and state, anti-gun laws, gay marriages, a woman's right to choose, free college for those who would like to go, universal health care and legalized marajauna.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with one other guy, who's traveled quite a bit himself and easy to get a long with. If you would like I can take you around Detroit and show the underground techno and indie rock scene, along with some great bars (most of all, I'll show you how scary Detroit is NOT). In return, I hope in the near future to barade someone elses' couch for awhile!

I've never participated in Couch Surfing, but I hope to do so soon.

Interests

My interests are pretty much traveling, concerts, music in general, my family, my friends, not getting parking tickets, my cellphone rigtones, drinking with friends, watching documentaries, etc. I'll think of more eventually.

My favorite movies are Shakespeare In Love, Motorcycle Diaries, Trainspotting, Best In Show, Zoolander, The Royal Tennebaums, High Fidelity, 40-Year-Old Virgin, Tweeked, etc.

My favorite bands are U2, Snow Patrol, Athlete, French Kicks, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, Belle and Sebastian, Supergrass, Interpol, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Magic Numbers, Oasis, Muse, David Bowie, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, The Walkmen, We Are Scientists, Goldfrapp, etc.

My favorite books are As I Lay Dying, The Invisible Man, Photographs of Ron Gallela, Winesburg, Ohio, Bergdorf Blondes, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rescued a child in an airport in Rome from falling down the escalator.
