About Me

CURRENT MISSION:

Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Patagonia. My dream trip with my childhood best friend.

ABOUT ME:

I can be energetic and outgoing or quiet and observant- there's a time for both. I currently work as a Nurse in critical care floor in Washington, DC as I apply to grad school and transition into international health work. I'm extremely passionate about global health issues and sustainable development. Also have an interest in agriculture and spent much time working on an urban farm this past year. In the meantime, I run, bike, hike, yoga, and travel as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

The world is full of beautiful people, languages, traditions, and perspectives. I want to know and understand them all. For me, traveling is an incredible way to know myself more deeply and challenge the way I think about the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the couchsurfing community but am excited to get involved. Currently looking for hosts and look forward to returning the favor when I'm back in DC.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I completed my first couchsurfing experiences in 2013 during a month long trip that brought me from Scandinavia, down through central Europe to Croatia, and ended in Barcelona. My most memorable moments were definitely with my couch surfing hosts. I made a few new best friends that I stay in touch with regularly.

Interests

things i like: hiking, biking, singing, sustainable agriculture, chocolate chip cookies, passionate discussions on the complexities of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although my trip to Peru was a medial mission, I surprisingly became an English teacher on Fridays at the local elementary school. Every moment with those little students was the most amazing moment of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're curious about chronic disease in Latin America, how to grow vegetables in an urban apartment, or about the endless list of issues with the US healthcare system, I'll talk your ear off.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Peru, Spain, Sweden, United States
