Overview
About Me
I exist for music. Live. Recorded. I have to have it.
I work full-time on a four 10 hour day schedule as a float teacher in a preschool. If my day off falls on a Friday or a Monday, I am more likely to seek out a short trip to see a band.
I live in a loft downtown. It is industrial with exposed ducts and brick/concrete walls. My bedroom walls don't even reach the ceiling (but the bathroom walls do).
I love living here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Generally I travel when I leave town to see a band I love dearly. I love to meet likeminded people (ones who dearly love going to shows and especially those who also travel for bands) and swap stories.
As of 2017, I am also starting to travel to see MLB games in different stadiums across the US. So far I am at seven stadiums in addition to my home stadium (Kauffman, Busch Stadium, Target Field, Coors Field, Wrigley Field, Safeco Field, Ballpark in Arlington, Fenway).
As of 2018, I am also traveling to see my MLS team (Sporting KC) play around the country. So far I am at seven in addition to my home stadium (Children's Mercy Park, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Century Link Field, Gillette Stadium, BBVA Compass Stadium, Nippert Stadium, Toyota Park, Allianz Field)

Music, Movies, and Books
(will update more later)
music (active bands that I might be following to your city): Catfish and the Bottlemen, Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, Story of the Year, 30 Seconds to Mars, Butch Walker, Against Me...to name a few.
movies: chick flicks (Notting Hill, How to Deal, Princess Diaries, 27 Dresses, Never Been Kissed, etc), kids movies (Over the Hedge, Robots, Finding Nemo, Toy Story), nerd movies (Harry Potter, Spiderman). I like a lot!
TV shows: way too many but currently: Will & Grace, Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, Catfish, The Fosters
books: Sophie Kinsella novels, Jane Green novels, Harry Potter series, Twilight series
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't feel like I have done or seen anything terribly amazing. I am just proud that I have the courage to travel to places I have never been... most of the time by myself. My mother could NEVER do that, and I am happy that I don't live with the fear she does. I will see and experience so much more than she ever has or will!
I'm working on my bucketlist of seeing a show in each of the lower 48 states. So far I am at 23.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn a foreign language! I'm so-so at Spanish, but I have an affinity towards Italian.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't really have any skills to teach, but I will love to connect with stories of bands you've seen or baseball/soccer games you've seen in person (like, I saw Joey Votto's 1500 hit which also happened to be a home run at Coors Field or seeing Laura Jane Grace play a solo show to approx 100 people in Gainesville, FL)
