I surfed and hosted--CS is great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My very first "surf" organized online took place at two different residences in Ohio. I was volunteering during election season, and the folks I met on couchsurfing.com were very kind. I'm very thankful for that.

Interests

I'm mostly disinterested in "stuff". I don't have an iPod or a Twitter account.

I'm interested in learning more about the world through others. (isn't that part of why we're all on this site?)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: currently I'm knee-deep in a project on rock performance (the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead, Alice Cooper, Styx). Heroes: Steve Reich, Lucy Kaplansky.
Books: I just finished Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. I am usually reading French philosophers (Foucault, Baudrillard), David Harvey, Cortazar (en Espanol), and recent classics (Animal Farm, that sort, you know?)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just returned from Iceland, which is a fantastic place to visit. Highly recommended.
