About Me

CURRENT MISSION

finding people to travel with, planning to hitchhike to Spain and Iran

ABOUT ME

I'm ginger

PHILOSOPHY

Alot of people live like they're on speed and my main thought is that they should slow down, have a deep breath and see the beauty this world has to offer. As for traveling, there are places that call me to reach them and I do my best to answer them. I don't know if there's such a place that we can call 'home' but I know there are people I consider to be my door, walls and windows out and into the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to cook, chili con carne is my specialty (even though I'm trying to be a vegetarian) and pass time. I can show you around Antwerp, go for a beer, share photos of my trips,...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything existential like Kubrick, Jodorowsky or Lynch goes yet I can enjoy simple horror movies like REC or Grindhouse as well. Tetsuo is one of my favourite Japanese movies, I love anime and other films such as Hable Con Ella, House of Flying Daggers, Les Amours Imaginaires, Metropolis.

My music range literally goes as far from classical to afrobeat to dubstep to black metal. I need to hear it before I can tell if I like it.

I have been catching up on my reading; Kafka's 'Amerika', Nan Shepherd's 'The Living Mountain' and Kerouac's 'Dharma Bums' were the last books I read and enjoyed very deeply.
As a photographer I obviously love photobooks, I believe they're close to music because the good ones sound like music to my eyes. Nan Goldin's 'I'll Be Your Mirror' is one of the most melancholic I have had in my hands up until now whereas Antoine D'Agata's 'Position(s)' is probably the heaviest and darkest so far. My teacher, Geert Goiris, also makes amazing photobooks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was a dam and when we dropped a rock into it, it only fell after 12 seconds or something.

I swear I'll come up with something better

Teach, Learn, Share

my friends say I'm always able to see the positive side of something and I have a natural aim for beauty yet I can be very critical. I love to share things, especially experiences, and living up the party.

I can teach you English and French, share photographs and am always eager to learn about people and their culture. One a sidenote, I love personal stories. I will never push someone to share them but I always feel more connected to someone who isn't afraid to come as they are.

What I Can Share with Hosts
