Overview
About Me
I'm Katherine! I'm an online community manager for an agency that works with Fortune 500 global clients and I work 100% remotely. I'm also a crisis counselor who volunteers 100% remotely for Crisis Text Line. I have a wife who prefers to stay at home while I travel. I'm unfortunately unable to host as I live in a studio apartment, but I will buy drinks or coffee for visitors :)
I love meeting new people and learning about sociology. I've had a long-time dream of traveling the world and now I'm finally in a financial place to leave the US for the first time and I'm excited about it.
As a couchsurfer I'm extremely easy-going. I need wifi and a reasonably quiet space to do my work, and I love hanging out with you for dinner or drinks to hear about your life, but I'm mostly autonomous. I don't really cook but I love bringing people thoughtful gifts from my home or travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a remote worker I love traveling solo and I'm excited to connect with hosts and other travelers who are genuinely excited to meet new people from all over the world. For instance, recently I took an Amtrak to Los Angeles and met an Iranian woman who was living on a sailboat and spent almost the whole 11 hours on the train taking photos out the window, talking about our lives, and trading the food we brought - and this was the best train experience I could have possibly had. I would particularly like to meet other remote workers who might want to travel together and split rental on a home/office.
