About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working on research towards a cure for Chronic curiosity!

ABOUT ME

I'm an open minded, fun loving and a wandering soul, born in Nigeria, grew up in Kuwait, got a degree in Penang, Malaysia, a Masters in Jena, Germany and spent a year working in Leipzig, Germany. I'm currently working on a PhD at Uni. Adelaide.
I believe in a world where we are identified by our interests not our place of birth. I'm also a pretty good listener.

PHILOSOPHY

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people while I'm not traveling and when I travel I like to meet new people. I host, I couch. I'm living the couchsurfers lifestyle!

I love CS´ original idea of connecting likeminded people over this site. The friends I´ve made through my travels and hosting are priceless.

So spending time with my surfers or hosts is important to me. I´m actually not visiting places, I´m visiting people :-)

If you want to stay with me, please read my profile thoroughly and then decide whether that philosophy floats your boat. People who just want to have a roof over their head or a place to store their luggage should not send me a request. You can refer to AirBnB, Booking.com or any other website to find that.

Please quote 'wanderlust' in your request for proof that you really read my profile and didn't only copy and paste your "personal" couch request. I expect you to write a reference soon after your stay, same as I will give one to you. After having made experiences with some freeloader guests I prefer hosting people who are hosts themselves. That way it stays in a give and take balance, although a nicely written request by a newbie will be taken into consideration too :-)

That said, I´m here because I love to get to know new people, cultures, views and of course recipes and dishes!

On days I´m not working I´d like to spend some time with you, show you my favorite spots in town and/or just have a cold drink somewhere. On days I am working, we´d have to make do with what little time there is ;-)

When I´m surfing, I´m happy to work around your schedule, can help around your place and would embrace the chance to get to know you a little. Always up for a chat/drink/self-cooked meal/eating out/walk/hike/explore the area/a game etc...
