About Me

Before sending an invitation, please read below:

My reason to be here is to help foreign visitors for their accommodation and travel in the center of Paris.
I am from Turkey, and for the last 8 years i was living in the amazing city, Istanbul. Now it's been almost a year to move to Paris and i live & work here. I am still trying to do things that make me what i am though:)
Since I am working during the day, i prefer to host you guys on weekend if it is not really urgent. This is really important point for whom to think about sending an invitation.

P.S: Tango dancers have priority:)

ABOUT ME

People tell me that i am quite relaxed & laid-back guy and well i can't argue with that:)
I'd like to meet different people, share culture & important things like music, dance, art or just basic conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy the life, not tomorrow just right now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and have a good time together by talking about culture, language, music, travel and other nice things to bring joy to our lives. Currently and so far I am helping you guys for your accommodation in Paris.

Lastly, I believe that what goes around comes around in the life and we need to live it joyfully by sharing what we have with each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: It is simply the best thing of my life. I've been playing bass for 15 years and my favorite band is Red Hot Chili Peppers. I had a tribute band back in Istanbul and yep it was crazy just like hell! I had also many other cover and couple of composition bands that i had great times with them, i can tell you in details for hours! I also like jazz and blues, i know many nice places in Paris. I like alternative rock music, have you ever heard about Dredg? If not, you should start to give a chance to them. I'd also elected classical music course on college as an elective, and yep i like classical music and have a bit information about its historical development. In case you are interested.

Books: Definitely Russian classical era, like Tolstoy, Dostoyevski, Gogol and Checkhov. Sorry, have i mentioned about Ivan Goncarov-Oblomov? It is just perfect. These capture almost all my 20 years and then Bukowski came around, i read every book of him so yes i am big fan of him. I also like distopian literature such as from Orwell and Huxley.

Movies: Big fan of Al Pacino, sorry but he is the best for me. Also the reason that i've started to dance Tango, after his movie called "Scent of a woman", definitely the "to-watch". Apart from that, i don't prefer to watch romantic-comedy type but i prefer to watch movies which have real scenario and many things to tell me. It can be Scandinavian or an unusual type of Italian like Tarantino, some people associate him with me, as an appearance of course:)

I had Yamaha Dragstar(had to sell it before moving to another country), a muscled chopper bike and yep i like motobikes, not race ones sorry.

Last point would be swimming of course. I started with waterpolo in college but unfortunately i had hernia and had to quit the team. I've been swimming for a longgg time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being an intercontinental swimmer.

Teach, Learn, Share

how to play a bass, well really playing:)
i can show how to ride a fatty motorbike(at least 600cc)
i can practice with you english and maybe turkish(if you know few of course) and also spanish(i did erasmus program in madrid for 6 months and it was in spanish, so i had some spanish but i am rusty now) and french(this one is more fresh, without a reason of course)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My nice talk and few points that i have knowledge about, as listed above. I can also cook few dishes, yes i know how to cook since i've been living alone for 12 years. And this is subjective but my smile:)
