Overview
About Me
Just a random shiny book-loving travel-addicted omni-enthusiastic sort of person. Mostly harmless, really.
Trains over planes, any time :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people when I travel and how better do that than through couchsurfing? Couchsurfing makes any journey or experience just so much richer! The conversations, exchanges of thought, connections, an insight in local traditions or a city's hidden gems, spontaneous adventures... Yep, I wouldn't ever want to be without it! I've used CS both on my travels through Europe as well as in my home country, because I like exploring new places there, too.
I've been lucky enough to host a few people as well, and these have been great experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to Finland for 1,5 year. Visited lots of places and tried many new things, but some of the absolute best experiences were swimming in a beautiful summer lake, seeing the midnight sun, going for hikes in the forest, and... seeing the Northern Lights!
Ohhh and swiming the Mondego, in Portugal, that was also one of the best things!!
And practising sword fighting in Lille and afterwards visiting "The Last Bar before the End of the World" to order a pan galactig gargleblaster. I wouldn't have had this experience if it weren't for Couchsurfing...!
Also at one point I found... an actual, beautiful old Chinese SWORD next to the trash bins in a random Slovak village? Sanding it, traveling around with it, passing deserted Hungarian villages, somehow getting it outside Schengen, and meeting the Guardian of the Romanian Crown still holding it (true story) was... Interesting.
I'm looking forward to many wonderful, highly improbable future adventures. But also mundane ones. Sipping coffee in a totally normal café is also amazing.
