About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It has been a while since I have hosted, however, I will be looking to host again once things start opening up. This profile was previously shared with my ex-spouse of 16 years; although I was the primary user.

ABOUT ME

I have previously spent a lot of time travelling, surfing on sofas, and living and working at sea. Currently I spend my summers doing marine research in Alaska, and doing Accounting in the winter (when its better to be inside). One of the things I love almost as much as travelling is showing other people around the city that I live, and being a tourist in my own town, all while learning about their adventures and path in life.

We are non smokers that enjoy casual drinks and a combination of adventure and excitement, as well as chill and relaxing downtime.

PHILOSOPHY

People are generally good. The purpose of life is to try and experience as much of it as possible. I would describe myself as a deep thinker, and an honest speaker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We both love to travel, but are limited on time at the moment. We came to the realization that traveling is not the only way to meet people from other cultures, and love to open our home to those traveling through the city we call home. Soon we will be back to traveling and will certainly be couch surfing when we do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our experience has been mostly with hosting, as we love to share our home with others, and get to know other cultures. Shortly we have plans to travel again and will most certainly be spending time couch surfing when we do!

Teach, Learn, Share

A: I really enjoy teaching people how to cook, especially indian recipes. I most enjoy learning from artistic people who embrace art in any form whether it's photography, music, singing, painting, pottery or an art form I haven't seen yet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

J: I'm a really easy going guy that likes to make sure people are comfortable. I'm always up for an adventure. One of the most rewarding thing about couch surfers is introducing them to things that you take for granted, and watching them express the same excitement as if it was your first time.
