CURRENT MISSION

I am interested in seeing and learning about as much of the world as I can right now, since I won't have much chance to travel after I finish my undergraduate degree.

ABOUT ME

I'm not an incredibly outgoing person; I prefer to listen to what others have to say rather than talk about myself. But once the ice is broken, I love getting to know other people and what makes them tick, and I enjoy learning others' perspectives on what I see and experience. Generally, I just like to have a good time and make the most of my time here.

PHILOSOPHY

We all have a limited amount of time on this earth, and none of us has complete control over our lives. I think that it's good to go with the flow most of the time, but a lot of people continue to be inactive and just accept a problem when they really need to work to change it. I want to do what I can to better others' lives while I'm here, since the world gives a lot of people the short end of the stick. I understand why people treat each other poorly, but I still want to change that, too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am pretty new to CS, I haven't done that much to participate yet. I would love to host surfers, even though I don't imagine many people will need to travel anywhere near Crawfordsville, Indiana. If you're on a trip and need a place to sleep for a night or two, send me an email; I probably have a couch or two available.

I haven't actually surfed any couches yet, but I hope to quite a bit in the near future.

Interests

As I wrote before, I enjoy learning about different cultures and perspectives. However, I'm interested in just about everything. Literally any topic that you can come up with is one that I would enjoy talking about. I used to be really into history and computers (random pair, I know), but my horizons have broadened over the past few years, since I like to believe that every bit of knowledge and every experience I have will help make me a better person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've led a pretty boring life thus far. The cathedral in Cologne was an amazing building; looking over the city and first seeing it as a living entity was a pretty amazing experience for me. This was also the moment when I realized where I wanted my life to go.
