About Me
Hello! How you doin'?!
My name's Maxime. I'm born and raised in Genève, Switzerland and I still live there actually. In September 2016, I started to study which is a big challenge. Effectively, I have to earn my life and to study at the same time and that gives plenty of things to do! Actually I work as a teacher (chess teacher in public schools and private teacher at home) and I study a subject in the same context: education sciences. I really like my job and what I learn, and I'm really happy to have such nice activities to do.
Other wise, I'm a person who really enjoy nature, culture, food, discovering and learning new things, especially about the history and the different cultures around the world. I made my first big trip in 2016: I went in Nepal for one and a half month and it was really nice. Even if it wasn’t easy every time, I went back home filled with the experiences I lived there.
So, let’s continue to travel, to meet and to discover!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm sorry, I don't have any couch, but I'd like to make visit my town, Geneva, to everyone who wants it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great experiences in Stockholm with Augusto and Bert, thanks to them for everything we shared!
Some friends are also hosting some travellers, so we spend time together, and make them discover what they have to see!
Interests
I really like to learn more about cultures and history, do some sport (bike, run, swim), meet people, go to concerts. And one of my favourite hobby is to share a nice meal with a nice bottle of wine!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As I was in Nepal during the monsoon (such a unexperimented traveller ^^), there was a lot of clouds. During the trek I did (around the Annapurna), I could see the mountains only a few times (generally in the morning). This morning, when we made the last step to go across the Thorung La Pass, we saw these big mountains at 6000-7000-8000 meters around us with the rising sun ans with snow on it, and it was like another planet. As I travelled without any camera, I cannot share this moment with you, but for sure it will stay in my head ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach French, a bit of German and English. I do tap dance and Lindy hop too.
I share what I know and I'm always open to learn some new dance step!
