I'm a 25 year old American who, after 4 years at college and 4 years in the workforce, needs some time to reset, relax, and learn what I can about the world outside of my own little bubble in my corner of the world.

I went on my first trip abroad in the spring of 2014. I had the attitude that I wanted to see everything and anything. I thought that I could speed through the sites just to 'check the box'. I had a blast, but looking back, I wish I had slowed down and taken in more of the small things, and stopped to get to know more about the people who lived there.

As with anything, it was a great learning experience. I look forward to my future travels, and getting to know some great new people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Stephanie (my girlfriend) and I are going to be undertaking a year long trip around the globe and are hoping to make the most of each stop along our route. Rather stick to a stuffy little room in a chain hotel, we are hoping that we can meet some great people and make some friends that wouldn't mind showing us around and sharing their culture.
