Hello! I'm a Venezuelan student currently living in the Czech Republic.

I've been a member of couchsurfing for a while now, but I finally got the courage to fill my profile, pack my suitcase and travel.

I'm majoring in Modern Languages, and taking some Philosophy, and Sociology courses in Hradec Králové. I teach English, and Spanish to make a living (And I love it!)

Staying in hotels seems like a very impersonal way of travelling.

To me, couchsurfing is the perfect way of experiencing a little bit better life in the city I'm visiting. Sharing life experiences, talking and getting advice from locals just doesn't compare to staying in a hotel and talking to the receptionist.

Unfortunately, I'm living in a shared room with 2 other students. We live in the university dorms and we can't host anyone. However, once I get a place of my own, I will definetely host.

Interessi

I'm a couch potato. I can spend a whole day just watching movies or playing videogames. I'm also a very talkative person who really enjoys beer. I like mixing these things together.

I moved to the Czech Republic without any basic knowledge of Czech. Coming from Venezuela, I'm experiencing a completely different culture and still struggling a lot with the language.

If you're up for it, we can share a couple of beers and just talk about anything. I can teach you some typical Venezuelan dishes, as well as some more dishes from Latin America. Lately, I've opted for travelling with Harina PAN (the best corn flour for arepas!), so you'll try the most typical food from my country.

I can also help you with Spanish and/or English. In fact, I'm really into phonetics, so if you're interested I could actually help you out with pronunciation so you sound more like a native speaker. I can also answer questions about Latin America and Venezuela. If you're curious don't hesitate to ask me.

Of course, I also want to have some time to explore the city :) but you'll be welcome to join me!
