About Me
HI,
My name is Brandon, I'm an American but I'm currently living in China teaching high school. China is the 3rd contry that I've worked in. I was also in Taiwan for 3 years and Vietnam for 1 year.
I love to travel as much as I can and so far I've been able to visit about 9 different countries in my life. Like most Americans, English is about the only language u can converse in easily. My Chinese at this point is ok for basic conversations and getting by. My Japanese used to be much better but with a lack of using it, my ability has gotten worse. And as for my German, it's very basic at this point.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel quite a bit, so it would be nice to meet some more local people during my travels. It would also help me with budgeting which is always nice.
Interests
I have a wide range of interests depending on what my situation can provide to me. Back home in the states I love to go to soccer games as well swim and hang out with friends.
In Taiwan, I enjoyed going out to bars or restaurants with friends. If I felt like a quiet day, I'd spend my time gaming or on the couch reading.
In China, I use the cheap transportation costs to visit as many places I can with my girlfriend. So far we have been to about 6 major cities in the past year and a half.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'd have to say for music that The Offspring & Bad Religion are my favorites. That's what I grew up listening to in high school, so it will always have a special place in my heart.
I watch so many movies on a regular basis, it's hard to say what my favorite would be. I'd probably say the movies I've watched the most times though would probably be The Matrix, Donnie Darko, and Saving Private Ryan.
As for favorite books, I'd have to say Game of Thrones is my current favorite series. But I also absolutely love 1984 and Fahrenheit 451.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm actually not sure what constitutes as something amazing that I've done, as the mere action of getting a passport and going to a other countries is something my friends and family would see as crazy.
But I'll say the best thing I did recently on a whim was move to China for someone. Uprooted my life in basically an instant for the unknown and so far it was the best choice I could have made.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English as well as some basic Chinese. My Japanese and German are pretty rusty at this point, so I'm not sure how much I can teach you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
At the very basic level I can share stories and adventures with hosts. But I also hope not just to share things but to also make new things such as memories for myself and hosts.
