About Me

I believe things that most people find incredible, or even absurd, but that a very few people find immensely inspiring and mind-bogglingly-exciting. Have you had similar experiences? If so, we very well may be best friends, or twin flames, or soul siblings, or have some such cosmic connection.

At the end of the day, though, what I believe is quite simple: music, poetry, story, and food is life, simultaneously literally, figuratively, metaphorically, and ultimately. If you're into any of this - i.e. richly aesthetic and spiritually-whole experiences, coupled with unconditional presence, i.e. not being judgmental - we'll get along. Life's short, it's hard, it's full of suffering and strife...let's support one another in rising through the muck as we share our life stories as a means of manifesting and glimpsing the cosmically-soulfully beautiful experiences that we are. Peace, friends. May we all find our way home somehow, someday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love couches, and I think I would love surfing if I ever had a chance to practice it. (Tried it once in Hawaii; there's a steep learning curve.) Therefore, couchsurfing sounds great, too.

But more realistically, I'm on here because I love traveling and I want to travel more. I also love meeting new people for no reason other than the fact that we're all people and inhabit the same beautiful yet (ecologically) strained planet, and in the final analysis there's just not very much time to experience all this world has to offer, so why not seek and share as much of it as possible?

Oryngham,
Dave

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited 35 states on a musical tour in the span of 8 weeks. We covered about 12,000 miles by bus.

I summited a 14er (mountain whose peak stands above 14,000 ft.) in Colorado in 1 hour 45 minutes.

I made coffee in the clouds next to an alpine lake on a backpacking trip in Colorado.

I made cookies without burning them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to juggle and replace a threaded bottom bracket on a bicycle.

I can also help you explore the complex functioning of your nervous system such that you can develop truly epic and effective energy-regulation skills/abilities that can equip you to move through any situation with grace, ease, and authentic wildness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, bake, and clean up after myself extremely well.
