Resumen
Sobre mí
With the new couchsurfing app and this hang out feature I feel like an old lady trying to figure out the internet.
Last time I edited my profile is apparently 7 years ago... so you can ignore it or try to get to know my 25 year old better.
______________________________________________________
My friend said once Im a 'tough german cookie' . whatever he meant, I like it ;)
Quick summary of my 2,5 decades of life... I was born in Saigon, emigrated to Germany, grew up in Berlin, became German citizen started school, did not finish school and now moving to NYC and starting school again. The evergreen student.
I believe in the saying "home is where the heart is", and I wouldn't say I don't have one but sometimes it feels like my heart has slipped away and hadn't found back yet... So ask me where home is.... ?
I don't know.
I do respect any culture, believes, attitudes and mind-sets but I wont accept any ignorance around me. I love to talk and discuss, also listen to anecdotes or telling and hearing stories bout travels and interesting people . I really hope to meet tons of people all over the world of any country and culture, speaking any language, who enjoys the same things as I do and love to share their thoughts and heart with me!
But in the end I think however I see myself aint the same in Your eyes!
So meet me and find out :)
PHILOSOPHY
When life knocks you down... calmly get back up, smile and very politely say 'you hit like a bitch.'
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One of my first was in summer 2007. I was on a road trip starting from OK through TX, LA, MS, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD, PA, NJ and finally NY. I crashed a few couches on my way and have met so man interesting, funny and warm-hearted people.
Hosted some Americans, a Russian from Kazan, girls from England, Holland, Sweden, Israel, Hungary, Canada , France, Poland , Estonia, Spain...
I just realized some time ago my first "couchsurfing experience" was about 10 years ago, in 1997, when I traveled to the Sates for the first time with my mother. Mom and I were somewhere in LA , lost and desperate. We were supposed to be picked up by some far-relative. She never came.
So there was that warm hearted vietnamese-american woman who offered us to stay at her place for a whole week!! We wouldnt have been able to afford a place to stay for the time being there. She really helped us and till now im so thankful for that!!

Música, películas y libros
What kind of music I am listening to? No clue. Everything that reflects my mood at the moment being.
I really enjoyed reading the Picture of Dorian Grey by Wilde, Werther by Goethe, Undine by Fouque, Animal Farm by Orwell and LOTR by Tolkien.
What I read:
'The Book Thief' by Zusak.
- The boy in the striped pajamas (supersweet book)
- My sister's keeper (I was sobbing for half hour after turning the last page!!)
- Shantaram (still reading it and not getting any further than 2/3..)
- The Kite Runner
- Russenendisko (was good)
- The Shadows of the Wind by Zafon (took me 4/5 of the book before I was convinced to like it)
- The Bookseller of Kabul (documentary about a afghani family, really liked it)
- The Girl Anna Frank (very sad and incredibly mind opening)
- Fabian by Kaestner
- Benazir Bhutto's autobiography ( I kind of stopped not quite half way through... I like her personality but somehow it's hard to read the bio...)
- haruki murakami's Norwegian Wood (I'd recommend it)
anything else worth reading?
Enseña, aprende, comparte
What I really really enjoy doing with my friends is to cook. There is so much between, peeling carrots, frying veggies and boiling eggs. you talk, you laugh and maybe u get to know the other person somewhat better by just observing. Best community food is vietnamese GOI CUON! ;)
