PHILOSOPHY

Although I am just as prone to cynicism as everyone in my generation, I try to fight it and approach the world with a sense of wonder. Yes, there are horrible things that happen everyday, but there are just as many amazing things that happen that we need to pay attention to and be grateful for.

To stay in a state of wonder, I always try to be interested in something that is just a little beyond my reach at the moment so that I can constantly learn something new, whether it's cooking, science, politics, theology, etc.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met a few couch surfers through other friends, and have had nothing but positive expereinces. My couch is open when I am in town. I will be moving soon, which means that I will actually have more couch space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far some friends and I have hosted some couch surfers on their way across the country. Everbody we've met has been cool, and the experience opened up a world that I knew existed, but had never experienced first hand. It is absolutely rewarding to pratice hospitality, and Couch Surfing is a means to engage in that dying art.
