ABOUT ME

Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, I grew up on the prairies and love wide open spaces and the great outdoors. I am a camping/hiking/paddling enthusiast, and am almost always down for a new adventure. I have an enormous interest in primitive cultures and skills and can be a total closet nerd about that type of stuff sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

A life is simply a collection of stories and characters. A book waiting to be written; and just like the best books, the best lives are those that both entertain and inspire.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For years I've provided a place for friends, acquaintances, and friends of acquaintances to crash and lay down there heads for anywhere from an evening as they pass through town, to a month when they were down on their luck financially. I've had some experiences be better then others, but never have I had a bad one. If someone needs a place to stay and I'm able to help out, I always will. It's a great way to meet new friends and spark new adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some incredible people surfing in Australia and have been introduced to some really awesome people through hosting friends and acquaintances over the years.

Interests

I love the great outdoors, whether it be hanging out on a beach, riding my bike for days on end, or hiking 20km through rough terrain in the pouring rain, I'm in. I am also a passionate actor, and artist who loves taking in good local theater, checking out local bands or art.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music ranging from folk and dixie to metal and hardcore. My current musical obsession is pretty much anything with a banjo...I just love that sound.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While camping on a beach during a sea kayaking trip in Nootka Sound, BC, Canada a cougar stalked up to within about 10 feet of our group during dinner. It was the first time I have seen a cougar that close up. It was incredible and if you ask me about it, the story only gets better...
