ABOUT ME

I've been told I'm quite the hodgepodge; a little nerdy (ok, well, more like super-nerdy, heh) yet on the vivacious daredevil side, somewhat out there (in the quirky/dorky way, not the I-think-she-forgot-her-meds way), as well as a karaoke singing, beginner salsa dancer, open-minded social butterfly who always has her nose in a book. Granted, half the time it's school related (Master's in English, or so my certificate will state one day), but the other half is pure book worm all the way.

Also, I love laughing...and I mean REALLY laughing!! I'm talking side splitting, can't breathe, face is red, tears gushing because it's just that funny, laughing. Enjoying the ride and meeting astounding people along the way is what it's all about.. you know?!

PHILOSOPHY

Not let fear hold me back. Life has too much to offer and I want to see and experience all that I can. To truly do that, one needs an open mind and an open heart.

Love, love, LOOVVVEEE books and music.

MUSIC: Everything from pop, soul, jazz, latin, folk, rock, alternative, hip-hop, gospel and classical. Yeah.

BOOKS: Wise Blood, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Midnight's Children, Wicked, Mrs. Dalloway, Paradise Lost, Sidartha, everything Toni Morrison, Dean Koontz (so far the only "fluff" author whose work I can read without a pen).. *sigh* The list just goes on and on and on. There is not enough time or space to even scratch the surface.. I'm a book junkie!

MOVIES: Elf, Wedding Crashers, Caddyshack, Space Balls, Old School, Office Space, Lord of the Rings Trilogy is definitely up there, and Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth.
